ISSEI MIYAKE watch

tw_basel01

The Watch Collection is the collaborative project between ISSEI MIYAKE and SII, where creative visions provided by distinguished designers from various industries under the supervision of ISSEI MIYAKE are fused with SII's highly advanced technology to emerge as new wave of watches of Japanese make. It was the Collection's fourth appearance in the annual BASEL WORLD.

At SII's pavilion, two large-sized graphics of "TWELVE 365", designed by Naoto Fukasawa, a Japanese leading industrial designer, and "TO Full-Metal Model", designed by Tokujin Yoshioka, were located at its center, and the overall interior was kept simple, being colored basically in white, to represent the well-known image of ISSEI MIYAKE.  im_basel02

The watches showcased at the pavilion were all from ISSEY MIYAKE Watch Collection, which was developed under the collaboration between ISSEY MIYAKE and SII, such as "INSETTO", designed by Shunji Yamanaka, "VAKIO" and "VAKIO2" by Harri Koskinen, "TWELVE" by Naoto Fukasawa, and "TO" by Tokujin Yoshioka. They were highly regarded for their originality and innovativeness in design by many European buyers, who have an exacting eye for designing details.
