The Alpkit Innovation Award is a 6 month national award culminating in a show case event at The Outdoors Show 08. It is open to anyone and everyone wishing to demonstrate innovation in the outdoors sector. It doesn't have to be the next flashy outdoor product, it could be a new type of climbing wall, a website to promote public transport to the hills or even a hypnosis course to give people a sense of direction.

Tan Kah Kee Young Inventors' Award (TKKYIA)

IF Concept Award 2007

For the sixth time, design students are invited to enter the free concept award. This special award for talented new designers is not only a good opportunity to gauge your own skills, pit your talents against other budding designers and gain some initial experience of adjudication criteria. It also represents a unique prospect for gaining public exposure and letting prospective employers find out about you.

With prize money of EUR 10,000, the iF concept award boasts one of the richest stakes of any young-designer competition.

In 2007 the British innovations and technology enterprise Dyson is once again sponsoring the iF concept award product for students. For the third time, the concept award purse of EUR 10,000 is being supplemented by an additional EUR 5,000 for the "Dyson Innovation Award," reserved for the most innovative concept.

Out of all the entries submitted, the Jury may submit a maximum of 20 winners, who will receive a share of the total purse in different amounts, to be fixed by the jury.

Students of any design and architecture discipline are eligible to compete. The projects submitted must have originated with the last two years, during a period of student enrollment. A maximum of three contest entries are permitted per participant.

There is no charge for competing for an iF concept award.

BraunPrize 2007

Call for entries
Participants are free to choose any subject for their product concepts. The BraunPrize has always been entirely independent of the Braun product range and is not restricted to products from the consumer goods sector.

The product concepts submitted should represent real innovations in design and technology which have been developed with users' needs in mind and which help them in their everyday lives – in the home, at work or school, during sports and leisure activities or in the context of health and personal care.

Prize money

Total prize money amounts to €36,000. The winner of the BraunPrize will receive €12,000 in prize money or a (paid) six-mont internship in the Design Department at Braun. The other finalists will each receive a prize of €5,000. The remaining prize money will be distributed in the form of special recognition awards at the discretion of the jury.

Entry conditions

Entry documents for the first round of the competition may be submitted by post, courier, or by using the online upload facility on the BraunPrize website.
