NUS ID Graduates in LighTouch Design Competition
2 NUS ID graduates, Terence Woon and Yap Hock Heng, were in the final of LighTouch Design Competition.
The grand winner of this year LighTouch Competition Ms Caitlyn Sara MacKenzie is from New Zealand, and her winning work entitled "1296" is created with 1296 incised cuts within a two-dimensional plane creating an organic form, a delicate dance echoing through layers of contortion.
A total of 939 entries were received for the 2007 competition. Entries came from 53 countries, with the highest number of submissions from China, Singapore and USA. Organised by DesignSingapore Council in partnership with FLOS and supported by Space Furniture, Temasek Polytechnic and National University of Singapore, the LighTouch Design competition is an international competition seeking innovative lighting solutions that are functional, adaptable, modular and scalable.
