Volvo Sports Design Award 2007
Deadline: 21st December 2007
This year the award seeks for excellent student concepts in the field of Eco- and Sustainable Design of Sports Equipment, Products, Clothing etc. The following categories are planned for the VOLVO SportsDesign AWARD 2008:
ski equipment (skis, ski-boots, ski-bindings, ski-accessories, ...)
board equipment (snowboards, surfboards, kiteboards, boots, bindings, board-accessories, ...)
outdoor equipment (climbing hardware and gear, backpacks, footwear and equipment for trekking, running, nordic sports, ...)
apparel (jackets, pants, shorts, shirts, ...)
wheelers (bikes, skateboards, inline skates, electronic vehicles and all kind of variations)
accessories (helmets and hats, glasses and goggles, gloves, protection, watches, electronical devices, bags, ...)
For the very first time, a special price will be awarded in the following category:
material technology / radical solution (for the best integrated concept in terms of using environmental friendly or new material)
The award is open to students currently registered in any kind of design or technical department at universities. It is also open to young professionals, who earned their final degrees not later than Summer 2005.
