(I just discovered this blog recently :P)

Rounds of applause to everyone who have done a great job in your presentations! I see alot of effort being put in, not only in terms of academic value, but also in terms of audience management, handouts and creativity. Here's some interesting presentations:

1. MSN-style Presentation

One group did their entire presentation over MSN. So you can imagine: 5 members, 5 laptops, communicating via MSN, conversation is projected onto the screen, silent tutorial room with the occasional sound of typing and clicking of mouse.

Their Film: 5cm per second

Result: A very interesting presentation which brings out their argument that while technology brings people together, it can also distance people, even to the extent of bringing about communication breakdown and social withdrawal. The MSN conversation is hard to follow (because everyone's talking at the same time), and this in itself highlights their core theme. I felt that some important messages were 'lost in MSN' (because its just too fast and fonts are too small), so it would have been better if they had some handouts to highlight the crucial points.

2. Puppet-play; Story-telling-Style

One group used paper-puppets to re-enact Princess Mononoke, while another group used a story-telling-session/skit method to re-tell the story of The Girl Who Leapt Through Time. I thought both are very creative and efficient means of giving audiences a gist of the film without necessarily depending on trailers and video clips.

3. Some interesting handouts:
