The cyan dots represent &lt;i&gt;Shorea&lt;/i&gt; spp. trees bigger than 30 cm in diameter, one of the main indicators of primary forest.

&lt;p&gt;The team that has been working for more than 2.5 years on a survey in the 164-ha Bukit Timah Nature Reserve. They tagged, measured, mapped, and identified 10,200 trees in a ca. 140-ha continuous closed-canopy forest.
