Blog Settings
How do I change the settings of my blog?
From your module blog, click My Blog Dashboard under Common Tasks. Alternatively (if you are logged in), visit http://moduleblog.nus.edu.sg/controlpanel/blogs/. You can then Manage Content or change the Global Settings.
What overall settings can I configure?
You can:
- Change the title and description
- Change the look/skin of your blog
- Add contact information
- Add an About page
I have changed a setting but my module blog hasn’t reflected the change. Why is this?
The settings take a while to manifest on the blog as the blog’s cache has to refresh.
How do I add Tags (formerly Categories) to my posts?
From your blog’s control panel (see How do I change the settings of my blog?):
- Click Manage Content, then Tags/Keywords
- Click Create New Tag
- Add new tag name and check Enabled (description optional)
- Click Save
When creating a new entry, click the Options tab and check the respective Tags for the post. You can also categorize previously posted entries. More detailed instructions here.
How can I change the blog’s look?
From your blog’s control panel (see How do I change the settings of my blog?):
- Click Settings
- Click Change how my blog looks
- From the Skins tab, choose a new theme (they will be previewed in the thumbnail)
- Click Save once you have chosen a new theme
