Here are some NUS Module Blogs statistics for the month of January.

Blog Activity | January 2007

Besides this blog and PH2205 Disputing the Dao, the top 5 blogs in terms of views are module blogs from the previous semester. The most active module blogs are Disputing the Dao (25 posts) and CL3281 Advanced Translation (12 posts). Advanced Translation has the most commenting activity, both in absolute and per-post terms.

Blogs without posts also seem to be registering page views. I am not sure about how Community Server registers 'views' but one possibility is that many automated spiders are crawling the blogs. On the other hand, it could mean that students are visiting in hope of finding blog posts.

Trackback activity is minimal, meaning that NUS Module Blogs, despite being accessible to the public are still not engaging a wider audience. This could be due to the nature of the module blogs (i.e. blog posts are highly course specific). You might notice econgeogconf has 40 trackbacks. This is because each post is linked to nearly every other post on the blog. These trackbacks (they appear in the blog as comments) have been removed.

Top 20 by views | January 2007

The graphic above shows the Top 20 posts overall by views. Without knowing the class sizes, it is practically impossible to comment on the numbers. But I hope it encourages you to keep on blogging.
