February Statistics
Here are the Module Blogs usage figures for February 2007. This month's statistics provide for some interesting reading.

The Industrial Design Thesis Project ID4104 blog was the most active blog in February. Assistant Professor Yen Ching-Chiuan has posted the most entries this month and received a substantial amount of trackbacks. A trackback is blogging parlance for the number of links to a post. In this, case it means that Dr Yen's posts have been linked to (or cited) on 28 separate occasions this month.
Since every blog post has a permanent URL - a permalink - blogs are naturally suited for easy referencing. This is unlike websites where URLs can change if the structure changes. There is generally no means of easy archival in normal websites either.
There seem to be a healthy number of pageviews, even with the less active blogs. Module blogs from the previous semester are also still attracting about 10 views per day.

The most viewed post this month - by quite a large margin - is NUS Design Incubation Centre (DIC) won Gold Prize from International Design Competition Osaka 2006. The reason it is the most viewed post is that most of the trackbacks mentioned earlier link to this post.
This means that Dr Yen's post has found its way to many other blogs, which has boosted its readership. Note that these figures refer specifically to views of a particular post. This is separate from the blog views in the first figure, which is derived from views of a blog's front (home) page.
Congratulations to Tan Yong Kai and Priscilla Lui Sik Peng on their winning design! And congratulations to Dr Yen on his well-read post!
