We have just entered the fourth month of the year. Let's have a look at the past month's blog metrics.

Just like the English Premier League, the top four remain unchanged from February. Unlike the EPL, there has been a change of leadership. (Hopefully, this is not a bad omen for Manchester United.) This blog has overtaken Dr Yen's ID4104.

Just beyond the top four, Dr Mark Emmanuel's HY4210 Issues and Events in Malaysian History blog has climbed from outside the top ten to fifth. This rise is in proportion to his increase in posting frequency. There is also some healthy discussion going on with his posts.

Although I have used a football analogy for the March statistics, I do not suggest that this is a competition. Absolute numbers do not tell the entire story. For example, I do not know the class sizes nor do I know the breakdown of the visitors to the blogs. Are there perhaps some individuals who visit certain blogs repeatedly? Is the visitorship in proportion to the class size?

How to define a successful blog goes beyond a numbers game.
