School's out but NUS Module Blogs keep on ticking.

Blog Activity | May 2007

Using Module Blogs readership is at an all time high. I suspect this is because I highlighted the blog at the conference I attended. However, there is a slight irregularity about the comments. Somehow, the reporting module of Community Server counts comments automatically marked as spam too. Most other module blogs do not suffer from this problem as commenting is restricted to staff and students by default.

As this blog is meant to reach a wider audience, I enabled comments from readers beyond NUS. Recently, I configured the blog to close comments after 2 months. Hopefully, this will reduce the amount of spam comments and provide a more accurate reflection of the number of comments.

You will notice another module blog which is particularly active: PC 1432 Physics IIE. This is a special semester module run by Kenneth Hong. He has foregone a regular module website, choosing to use the module blog as a class website. Besides blog posts (usually they are updates and announcements about the class), Kenneth has used article posts, or static pages, for content which remains the same throughout the semester. You can learn how to create a static page here.

Top 20 by views | May 2007

As the PC1432 module blog is the only active blog during this special semester, the posts dominate the Top 20 posts by views. However, the raw numbers have to be compared to the size of the class.
