Using NUS Module Blogs

I am not clear about the role of "module" blogs. Blogs are usually used to show articles or comments by someone on certain issues, i.e. like a personal newsletter.

For modules, we already have IVLE which is structured to facilitate learning.  IVLE already has forum facilities for discussion.

What does the module blog offer that IVLE can't?
